Hair Surgey Transplant Method

Hair Surgery Transplant method

From Hair Surgery Transplant technology continues to provide patients with the best options for hair loss treatment. Transplants have come a long way since the early 70's and 80's, when hair coupons were used to treat hair loss. These hair plugs consisted of approximately 15 transplants to 25 hairs in each. These cards have given the hair a very obvious and watch.

CoupleStrip incisions were traditionally used for Hair Surgery Transplant before more modern methods exist. The band incision involves surgically removing strips of skin from the donor area, extraction of hair follicles, and then implement them on the beneficiary area. While some surgeons practising more modern techniques in Hair Surgery Transplant, this method of surgery is always effective and quite common.

The band incision method has been improved by micrografting. The surgeons are switching to this method because it does not involve any type of incision (scalpel-free). Hair follicle is extracted from the donor area using micro-grafting procedure and transplanted in the recipient area with ease.

The Follicular Unit Extraction method uses micrografting to achieve amazing results. This procedure involves the extraction of hair follicles in an area on the scalp, and reintegration of hair follicles in the scalp. This type of Hair Surgery Transplant is usually done using only local anesthesia.

For more information on the cost of extraction follicular unit, see the comparison of prices of surgeons.

Mini-micrografting is similar to follicular extraction unit, the main difference being that the graft size is determined by the doctor. He or she cuts the donor tissue into pieces the size that they see fit.

With the mini-micrografting procedure, surgeons use a multi-knife blade to quickly generate thin strips of cloth and then use the direct visualization (rather than microscopic control) to cut tissue. Transplants are generally larger than the follicular units and, since the excess skin is not removed the donor sites (injuries) are also greater.

Mini-micrografting requires a smaller staff and each procedure is cheaper and shorter.

However, follicular extraction unit is higher in the production of a natural, undetectable result.

If it is done properly, surgical hair transplantation is safe and effective. However, as with any surgery, there are rare cases where complications following May. Most of these problems are not serious and are curable.

Be aware of the following risks:
